A guide on how to set up your account, club, members, and notifications.
Setting Up Your Account
The Aviation Pal offers two ways to create an account: using your email or a Google account. If signing up with email, you'll need to provide a valid address and create a password.
After creating your account, complete your profile by providing:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Roles
- Phone Number
- Address
- City
- State
- Zip Code
- Timezone
Setting Up Your Club
Instructors are prompted to create a club during account setup. You’ll need to provide:
- Club Name
- Club Logo (optional)
- ICAO
- Phone Number
- Address
- City
- State
- Zip Code
- Timezone
If you create a club, you'll automatically be assigned the "Manager" role.
Joining Existing Clubs
Instructors and students can join an existing club by clicking the "Join Existing Club" button and entering the Club ID provided by your instructor.
Club IDs are unique and visible on all major pages within the platform.
User Roles
Available roles:
- Manager
- Instructor
- Student
Only Managers can assign or update roles. Role permissions can be managed on the Members page. If you're the club creator, you're assigned the "Manager" role by default.
Profile Settings
Update your profile from the "Profile" section in the sidebar. Editable fields include:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Phone Number
- Address
- City
- State
- Zip Code
- Timezone
Instructors can also set their availability for scheduling. Users may disable email notifications or change their password here.
Club Settings
Access your club’s settings by clicking "Club" in the sidebar. Editable fields include:
- Club Name
- Club Logo
- ICAO
- Phone Number
- Address
- City
- State
- Zip Code
- Timezone
Managing Members
From the "Members" section, you can add, edit, or remove members and assign roles.
Notifications
Manage email notifications in the "Notifications" section. You can view, edit, and delete messages sent to members.
