Flight Scheduling

Learn how to schedule, manage, and track flights using The Aviation Pal’s flight scheduling tools.

Booking Flights

To book a flight, navigate to the flight calendar and click the New Flight button. Fill out the required details, including aircraft, instructor, student, and flight times.

The system automatically checks for scheduling conflicts and validates availability for the selected aircraft and instructor.

Flight Approvals

Some flights may require approval from instructors or administrators. Approved flights are displayed with a distinct color code in the calendar.

Admins can review and approve/reject pending flight requests from the Pending Flights section.

Using the Flight Calendar

The flight calendar provides a comprehensive view of all scheduled activity. Toggle between daily, weekly, and monthly views to suit your needs.

Click any flight entry to view or manage its details. Color indicators reflect flight status:

  • Requested – Awaiting approval
  • Approved – Scheduled and approved
  • Completed – Successfully flown
  • Canceled – Flight was canceled

Managing Flights

To manage a flight, click the Manage button from either the calendar or the flight list. This takes you to a detailed view where you can update information, approve or cancel flights, and access billing tools.
